How far I have to walk,
Feels like eternity,
Like a broken clock,

It’s tiring to talk,
About my insecurity,
How far I have to walk,

I tried hard to unlock,
But this loop locked perfectly,
Like a broken clock,

How hard to break a rock,
Compared to breaking this insanity,
How far I have to walk,

It exist only to mock,
My humanity endlessly,
Like a broken clock,

Everyday with a mental block,
Having existential crisis daily,
How far I have to walk,
Like a broken clock.

I have never tried villanelle form and I came up with this. I feel satisfied.

#NaPoWriMo Day 5: write a poem that incorporates at least one of the following: (1) the villanelle form, (2) lines taken from an outside text, and/or (3) phrases that oppose each other in some way.
